Board Member, Thomas Minick

Tom Minick is the Associate Vice President of Advancement at Alvernia University. Tom was asked to join the board by current Board President, Kevin DeAcosta. He is excited about getting involved and helping to further the mission of the organization.

Tom's passion is baseball. He has coached at the college level, and currently assists with youth teams in the Governor Mifflin School District.

Board Member, Christopher Muvdi

Christopher Muvdi is an attorney with Masano Bradley, LLP. He joined the board because he has a history of service to Dayspring. Chris was in high school when he performed one of his Eagle Scout service projects at one of the residential homes. Additionally, he has volunteered with Dayspring Homes in the past.

Chris enjoys cooking, walking his dog and the Philadelphia Eagles!

Board Member, Jake Hughes

Jake Hughes is the Regional Membership Manager for Visions Federal Credit Union with a focus on Business Development and Community Partnerships in Lehigh and Berks Counties. Jake attended York College of Pennsylvania graduating with both his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and his Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.

Jake was first introduced to Dayspring through their Stake in the Future event where he was impressed with the mission and energy of Sister Francis. He is looking forward to serving on the Dayspring Board as he continues to be intentional in serving others, giving back and living with purpose.

Jake enjoys spending quality time with his wife and four children, he is a sports and outdoor enthusiast and keeps busy remodeling and renovating his home in Montgomery County.

Board Member, Michael Bucklin

Michael Bucklin is a Wealth Advisor with Truist Wealth with a focus on assisting high net-worth families and business owners in managing challenges and achieving their goals as it relates to their family's generational wealth.

Michael attended Kutztown University graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing.

While participating in annual Lighthouse Projects through Truist over the years, Michael gained knowledge of the rewarding work Dayspring does in the community. He is excited to join the board and to make an impact beyond the annual Lighthouse Project initiative.

Michael enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two daughters. He also enjoys golfing, hiking and family vacations in his free time.

Father Loeper is Pastor at Saint Mary's Catholic Church in Hamburg.

Board Member, Dr. Joe Jurgielewicz

Dr. Joe is the CEO of Joe Jurgielewicz & Son, Ltd. (JJS) It is one of the leading Pekin duck suppliers in North America. The company employs over 200 Pennsylvanians, and partners with 27 local farm families throughout Pennsylvania to raise JJS Pekin ducks.

These same ducks are descendants of the original Long Island ducks that Dr. Joe's grandparents raised on their farm in Long Island. Throughout the years, the staff geneticists at JJS have hand-selected the perfect breed of ducks for their clients. The JJS breed is favored by leading chefs for its perfectly balanced meat-to-fat ratio, giving clients the signature, succulent flavor of the famous JJS Tasty Duck. The Jurgielewicz family is proud to continue its 90 year tradition of providing the highest-quality Pekin duck products and world-class service to clients globally for generations to come.

Dr. Joe enjoys spending time with his wife Rita, children, grandchildren, and farming.

Board Member, Tricia Williams

Tricia Williams is a creative marketing professional and the founder of Social Clover Marketing, a company dedicated to enhancing brands' presence with inventive marketing strategies. Her entrepreneurial journey extended to the successful establishment of an e-commerce venture, Cairn Collective, in 2017, which, under her leadership, contributed to the planting of close to 5,500 trees in collaboration with the eco-conscious non-profit, One Tree Planted. Although she has since transferred Cairn Collective's ownership, her commitment to environmental and community welfare endures. In addition to her entrepreneurial endeavors, she recently accepted the role of VP of Sales and Marketing with New Castle Lawn & Landscape, a local landscaping company making big waves in the community!

Tricia resides in Sinking Spring with her husband Brian and three children and is a proud lifelong inhabitant of Berks County. Tricia's devotion to community service is evident and actively seeks to connect her clients with meaningful opportunities to make a positive difference locally. She is an active member of the Gala planning committee for the John Paul II Center for Special Learning, “A Stake In The Future” committee for Dayspring Homes and also serves on the board for Dayspring Homes. She is also an active volunteer at Holy Spirit Horse and Animal Sanctuary.

Board Member, Patricia Reger

Dr. Patricia O'Callaghan Reger serves as the inaugural Dean of the College of Health Sciences at Alvernia University, a role she assumed in 2022. With a distinguished career in healthcare and academia, Dr. Reger is a Physical Therapist by profession, boasting over 25 years of clinical experience specializing in orthopedic physical therapy. Her doctoral research focused on exercise physiology, particularly on the cardioprotective effects of exercise following ischemia-reperfusion.

Dr. Reger's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy Dr. Reger transitioned to academic administration in 2015, after years of teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels since 1994. Under her leadership, the College of Health Sciences, the largest college at Alvernia University, continues to thrive as its faculty, students, and alumni make a profound impact on the health and well- being of local, regional, and global communities.

Dr. Reger's commitment to community service is evident through her involvement in A dedicated professional and leader, Dr. Reger resides with her spouse, Paul, and together they enjoy supporting their three grown children—RJ, Emily, and Thomas—and caring for their two beloved dogs, Sadie and Boo.
