Founded in 1991 by SR. Francis Bisland, C.P.S., Dayspring grew out of the need to support persons with special needs as they reached young adulthood or could no longer remain at home. Dayspring continues to embrace the Christian ideal of realizing the God-given potential and dignity of every human person.
Dayspring Homes, Inc. is a nonprofit organization which provides residential group homes, day services, respite services, and in-home habilitative services. Members of our excellent staff are trained and qualified to meet the diverse needs of our participants.
Many of our participants are eligible for government funding, while others are private pay. Dayspring Homes, Inc. is licensed, certified, and insured. The Board of Directors works closely with our CEO to maintain a quality program.
The CrossWalk Day Program currently consists of 14 staff and 25 participants. Located inside Calvary Lutheran Church in Laureldale, we are open to participants from 9 AM to 3 PM Monday through Friday.
CrossWalk provides numerous volunteer opportunities, as well as unique social, educational, and personal interest outcomes; in a setting that is faith-based and focuses on more individualized attention, as our staff to participant ratio is 1 to 3.5.
In 2017, CrossWalk will be expanding the current program in order to provide a variety of new in-house activities, special events, and personal-interest and life-skills clubs. Some of our new in-house activities will include News and Current Events, Reading Club, Arts & Crafts, Cultural Studies, Health and Fitness, Gardening, and Spiritual Reflection.
CrossWalk will also be focusing on increasing community awareness, safety skills, basic life skills, and preparation for those wishing to consider future employment options. We are currently accepting both three and five day referrals. For more information, please contact Judith Fasig, Program Manager, at 610.929.2858 or email email@example.com.
